David Locker joins BUNN in United Kingdom
David Locker has joined the Bunn-O-Matic Corporation as Sales Manager, UK/Ireland, as of January 1, 2009. 

Locker has worked in the industry for the past six years, most recently as a National Account Manager. He has also organized and presented SCAE Brewmaster courses, and is qualified on both Levels I and II.  He has also served on the sensory judging board in United Kingdom Barista Championship (UKBC), and he is a UKBC committee member.  Locker is a graduate of Lewis University with a BA in Marketing. He participated at university level in various track and field events, representing the UK in the 800 meter run. Locker, his wife, Magdalena, and two children, Demi and Chelsie, reside in Derbyshire, UK. David will be working from the BUNN Milton Keynes, UK, office.

UK Facilities Provide BUNN Equipment, Parts and Service

Operators in the United Kingdom and Europe now have more convenient access to BUNN beverage equipment through the BUNN warehouse in Manchester and to parts through the BUNN Ltd. facility in Milton Keynes, England.

“As part of our expanding efforts to support customers in the European Union and surrounding countries, our UK facilities distribute a full range of BUNN products and parts and provide technical / sales support,” announced Neal Robinson, BUNN Senior Vice President International Sales. “In many areas, delivery of equipment and parts is generally available within 3 to 5 days of purchase. In addition, we have posted our product information, manuals and specification sheets on our website for immediate access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

BUNN sales representatives and technicians are available to advise hotel, restaurant, catering and café owners and managers about the most appropriate and cost-efficient systems for their establishments’ specific needs. BUNN beverage equipment is offered with a full factory warranty and backed by factory-trained, BUNNserve® certified field technician service.

Easily brew up to 129.8 litres of perfect coffee per hour with the new Titan™ Dual coffee brewer from BUNN®. The Titan brews two, 11.4L servers of perfect coffee in six minutes or less, providing coffee in even the most high-volume serving environments.

The Titan provides total coffee flavor management. Pre-infusion, pulse brew variable by-pass and digital temperature control combine for ideal coffee extraction. BrewWIZARD™ technology provides easy, step-by-step programming of brew level, cold brew lock-out and tank temperature from the advanced LCD touchpad. BrewMETER™ technology allows automatic programming of the pulse routine for added control.

The Titan’s large brew funnels can hold up to 793g of ground coffee and include the BUNN SplashGard® for safety. For smaller batches, the brew funnels come equipped with filter paper retainer rings, which keep the filter paper from folding in. Electronic funnel locks come standard to prevent removal of the funnel while brewing.

The 11.4L ThermoFresh® servers are insulated to keep coffee hot and fresh. The 20cm faucet cup clearance allows coffee to be dispensed into a variety of thermal carafes and cup sizes. Custom server merchandising programs are available too.

Three separate sizes of hot water boilers are available from BUNN to ensure consistent, high quality water and increase the speed, safety and efficiency of kitchen staff. Dispensing 7.57 to 90.85 litres of water per hour, the units can be used to provide hot or boiling water for beverage or food preparation or for cleaning.

The HW2 model dispenses up to 7.57 litres of boiling water per hour at a constant temperature of 93.3ºC. If you require up to 68.14 litres per hour, consider the H5X or H5E. These models are available to dispense precise temperature water at temperatures from 22.2ºC-100ºC and can be side or wall mounted for space savings. For high volume needs, the H10X dispenses up to 90.85 litres of 100ºC water per hour.

All models have a full two-year parts and labour warranty and a three-year parts and labour warranty for the electronics.

The Ultra-1 Gourmet Ice® dispenser allows operators to make wonderful frozen beverages in just 20.1 cm of counter space. A patented reversing auger speeds freeze time and reduces air mixing. The new SmartWAVE® low-profile coffee brewer from BUNN delivers perfectly brewed coffee, but is small enough (at 43.2cm) to fit under a standard cabinet, making it an excellent choice for many coffee serving environments with limited space. The brewer’s innovative SmartWAVE technology was developed to provide uniformity of extraction and more contact between water and coffee, increasing turbulence in the brew funnel. Adding to the brewer’s versatility are adjustable legs and a slide-out tray enabling the operator to brew into1.9 liter thermal carafes, 1.9L thermal pitchers or 2.2 to 3.0L airpots.

A cost-effective solution for superior cold drinks, the BUNN JDF-2S Silver Series™ delivers either juice or iced coffee at the touch of a button. Designed to serve either frozen or ambient products, including remote bag-in-box, the JDF-2S ensures consistent drink quality from the top to the bottom of every glass with a patented High Intensity® mixing chamber. Only 10 inches (24.9 cm) wide, the JDF-2S saves valuable counter space, complimenting BUNN’s 4-hopper model, the JDF-4S.

The JDF-2S is available with either a juice or iced coffee display. Quick-dispense equals customer satisfaction and icy cold juice is assured even during busy times with an 8-pound (3.6 kg) ice bank. The JDF-2S has a flow rate of 1.0 to 1.5 ounces (29.6 to 44.4 ml) per second. Most juice cups will fit the 19.1 cm cup clearance. Easy set-up and accurate dispense are assured with the advanced concentrate pump. Service is fast and simple with a side-hinged door and modular dispense deck. The JDF-2S is a push-and-hold dispense unit, but can easily be converted to a portion-control model by following simple instructions in the manual.
