Our continued growth has resulted in the creation of the below position providing support to the development of our Retail business.
Engineering Project Manager Retail Products located in Central Illinois responsible for the development, introduction and on-going support of retail products. The role is accountable for developing products that meet customer requirements, are developed and launched on time and at or under budget. Leadership in both product management and project management roles is required. Applicants must be available to travel domestically and internationally.
Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Research and development of innovative new solutions for retail products including, but not limited to brewers, grinders, and single serve solutions
- Maintaining a leadership role in helping the Retail team achieve its Quality, Value Improvement, New Product Development, Competitive Benchmarking and Continuous Improvement project goals
- Launching product projects to requirements, within budget, and on time
- Active project management using management processes and software
- Providing weekly project status reporting
- Closely interacting with industrial design firms and engineering consultant firms
- Participating in customer advisory panel research
A qualified candidate will posses the following: minimum of 8 years experience in an Engineering Project leadership role; BS Engineering Mechanical or Electrical; Able to manage 2-3 major (2,500 5,000 hour) projects at one time; excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in operating in a cross-functional, team environment; detail oriented, quality-first mindset; creative problem solver; Analytical able to examine data and make good decisions; Practical - ability to develop an understanding of the operational environment and user; understanding of plastic and metal design for tooling processes; previous hands-on management of Asian/global sourced product projects; experience in using Solid Works or other 3D modeling software; comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and must have working experience developing appliances or other products that operates on electricity.
